Site re-launch happens on March 1st 2010

Live 4 Metal to close

I guess this has been due to happen for about a year now, but I’ve finally decided to close down Live 4 Metal. Having played such an important part of my life for eight and half years, having survived major illness, divorces (not mine) the odd falling out and many other mishaps, it was a tough decision to finally pull the plug on the site.

Having started the site as a single man, I now have family commitments and a business to run and I simply don’t have the time for the site anymore, mainly as it has grown to a size that I can no longer manage. We (Sam and I) closed down our market stall 2 weeks ago so I can concentrate on our growing online business and Sam has just started teacher training, so with these major changes to our schedule leaving us even less time for the site, now is the time to go.

We won’t be going just yet as we are going to try and review the backlog of cds we currently have and the site is likely to close on October 31st, or maybe a week or two later, depending on what cds we have outstanding.

After this, I’m going to take a break for at least 2 months and in the new year, I’ll decide on whether to re-launch the site, but in a completely different (and much smaller) format.

So a big thank you to everyone that has read the site, supported it and contributed to it. It’s been a lot of fun
